I  like to try different styles of cards now and again so I was pleased to find this really easy to understand tutorial here for a 'stepper' card. I decided to make a 'side stepper' card as I wanted to add embellishments to the 'mountains' created by the folds. I'm a big fan or cards that you make from a single sheet of A4 with a few folds and cuts, like the tri-fold cards that I've made in the past. This card is for a little boy who loves to play on his Wii, so I'm hoping he likes the Mario Cart characters (I know my DS does!) I also managed to find a font in the style of the Wii logo for the messages.

This card also fits perfectly with the theme for this week's Daring Cardmakers challenge. This week the theme is 'BoyZone' and it is being sponsored by Charmed Cards and Crafts.

I received some goodies in the post yesterday from Sandra at Gottacraft which are going to be in the June kit. I can's say what they are yet, but they are a new range of papers and they are yummy! I'm going to be making some cards, but I'm sure I'm going to have some bits left to make a layout or two as well! I know Sandra is starting to stock lots of lovely stamps, with more to come soon, so if you like your rubber-stamping be sure to check out what she has on offer....

It looks like the weather is going to be lovely this weekend so I think a picnic could be in order to get out there and enjoy it....... Have a great weekend x

Oh I've just got to try and have a go at a card like that ... I know just the boy that will love it too.
